Aktia Personal Insurance receives top score in the Kuluttaja magazine’s comparison

In its latest issue, the Kuluttaja magazine tested banks’ loan insurances and their conditions and prices. Aktia Personal Insurance received top score in the comparison and according to the Kuluttaja magazine, Personal Insurance is a good alternative to a plain loan insurance and “it may do its job better than actual loan insurances”.

Personal Insurance covers more in a more independent way than a plain loan insurance

Instead of just securing mortgage payments, Aktia Personal Insurance can cover serious illness, unemployment, death and incapacity for work. Additionally, unlike plain loan insurances available on the market, Aktia Personal Insurance is not dependent on which bank has granted the mortgage. You can take out Aktia Personal Insurance even though you are not a mortgage customer in Aktia.

As a rule, loan insurances grant insurance cover in case of serious illness only for entrepreneurs. Aktia Personal Insurance grants cover also for employees. Loan insurances define that the upper age limit is 65 years, but in Aktia the Personal Insurance is valid until is the age of 80.

“We Finns are faced with an insurance challenge: we insure our property, such as our boats and homes accordingly but not ourselves or our loved ones. I believe that personal insurances should be a part of everyone’s economic management as they secure the basic pillars of life, such as the livelihood of the family in unexpected situations”, says Riikka Luukko, the new CEO of Aktia Life Insurance Company. “In Aktia, we look at our customers’ overall situation and help them think further. Therefore, we have planned our personal insurance products in a way that they will cover our customers in case of unexpected events in life as well as possible – while keeping the prices of our products competitive. That is why it was especially delightful to see that we had excellent success in the Kuluttaja magazine’s comparison”.

Personal Insurance helps mortgage holders prepare for the unexpected

Securing the finances is a part of life’s basic security. Most of us calculate our expenses according to disposable income. Unexpected events, such as illness, an accident, unemployment or death can, however, significantly shake the financial stability in a family. When something unexpected happens, the income can decrease significantly while the expenses remain the same or even increase. Aktia Personal Insurance can include cover for serious illness, unemployment, death and incapacity for work and can be revised according to the current situation.
