Aktia Bank plc Stock Exchange Release 5.11.2008 at 3 p.m.

Aktia Bank Plc will launch on 7 November 2008 an issue of EUR 45
million in Upper Tier 2 perpetual subordinated notes.

With the Finnish Financial Supervision Authority's permission, the
issuer has the right to redeem the notes prematurely quarterly
beginning 7 November 2013.
