Aktia plc Stock Exchange Release 22.6.2011 at 3 pm

Taru Narvanmaa (48), M. Sc. (Econ), was appointed Deputy Managing Director of
Aktia plc. Her areas of responsibility in Aktia's Executive Committee are life
insurance, cards and payments as well as Group communications and IR.

Taru Narvanmaa is Managing Director of Aktia Life Insurance Company Ltd and
member of Aktia's Executive Committee since 2007. Before Aktia, she was member
of the Management Team of Raisio plc with responsibility for communications and
IR. From 1998 to 2001 she was employed by Sampo plc in different expert and
management positions in the fields investments, finance and IR.

Magnus Weurlander (46), M. Sc. (Econ), was appointed member of the Executive
Committee of Aktia plc with responsibility for risk control and the credit
process. He has been employed by Aktia since 1990 in e.g. business development,
and from 2005 in different positions within risk control.

The appointments will enter into force on 1 August 2011.
