New shares registrated

12,490 new shares of Aktia plc, series A, have been entered in the Trade
Register on 29 May 2009. The shares were subscribed in the issue to named
persons in the company's senior executive management that the company's Board
of Directors decided on 30 March 2009 supported by the authorisation given by
the Annual General Meeting on 21 December 2006.

Hereby, the total number of A shares increased to 46,936,908, and the company's
share capital rose by EUR 24,980 to EUR 93,873,816.
