 Divestment of own shares                                                        

 Aktia plc has, supported by a decision taken by the company's Board of          
 Directors, sold 40,934 series A own shares on 11 May 2010.

 Following this divestment, the company's holding of own shares amounts to:

 The shares were traded for consideration on the stock exchange to members of the
 company's Executive management who, following the share-based incentive scheme  
 for 2009, received a bonus to subscribe for the shares. According to the scheme,
 transfer restrictions are applied to the shares for a period of two years. For
