CEO's comments: Towards our goal to be the best wealth manager in Finland
The year 2021 was extremely successful for Aktia and a turning point in building a true wealth manager bank. The acquisition of Taaleri's wealth management business, our strategy update, and the new climate strategy all support this. Aktia has now excellent conditions for success and a solid foundation for growth in 2022.
Aktia's strategy
Aktia updated its growth strategy and long-term financial targets on 7 September 2021. The new strategy update, which extends to 2025, supports Aktia’s growth objectives and guides the company towards the new vision of being "the leading wealth manager bank".
Responsible Aktia
In 2021, Aktia prepared a Group-wide climate strategy, where goals were set for investments, lending and the Aktia’s own activities. To support the implementation of the climate strategy, Aktia joined the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative. In addition, Aktia prepared a new policy of responsible lending. In terms of social responsibility, the focus during the year was on integration and strategy implementation due to the acquisition of Taaleri's wealth management business.
