Aktia Mortgage Bank is a credit institution specialized in mortgage loans. The bank grants loans to private individuals and housing corporations. Only real estate or shares in housing corporations located in Finland can serve as collateral for the loans. Aktia Mortgage Bank does not receive deposits, but the operation is financed by equity, short-term loans and issuance of covered bonds to domestic and foreign capital markets.

Business Concept and Loan Products
The mortgages are distributed through respective branch network by the co-operating banks. The customers are provided flexible and safe service at their own branch office - and offered a competitive and broad product range as a result of Aktia Mortgage Bank's cost-effective business model and excellent credit rating.
Aktia Mortgage Bank grants floating rate loans, whose interest rate can be tied to different reference rates, fixed rate loans of various maturities and loans with interest rate cap. Also housing corporations are granted loans.
All customer service is handled locally by the branch office the customer has chosen to use. The branch personnel are familiar with the process and can assist in all matters concerning loans granted by Aktia Real Estate Mortgage Bank. Loan term changes are made at the branch office as well.
