Aktia Asset Management Oy Ab, a subsidiary of Aktia Savings Bank Plc, offers discretionary asset management services to institutional investors. Investments are made in Finnish and foreign shares and interest rate instruments. The investment process employs a top-down approach that is based on macro-economic conditions. Over the years, Aktia Asset Management has built up an extensive and efficient global partnership network with numerous international investment banks.

In addition, Aktia Asset Management manages Aktia's twelve mutual funds and the portfolios of five special mutual funds, which are administered and marketed by Aktia Fund Management Ltd. At the end of March 2005, Aktia's share of the Finnish investment market stood at 2.1%.
