Terms and Conditions for the Use of the Service

These Terms and Conditions include the General Terms and Conditions
for the Use of the Internet Service (hereinafter "Service")
maintained by Aktia Savings Bank plc (hereinafter Aktia) at http://www.aktia.fi.
When accessing and starting to use the Service, the user of the service
(hereinafter "User") implicitly accepts these General Terms
and Conditions and undertakes to comply with the same. 1.3 Using the Service does not require registration except for specific sections of the Service that require both registration and acceptance of Special Terms and Conditions defined in such a specific section. Additionally, the Service includes sections (such as equity trading with shares over the Internet) the use of which calls for a special agreement to be concluded with Aktia. Moreover, the use of the products and services provided by the Partners may require acceptance of specific terms and conditions for use. 1.4 The information provided through the Service is of general nature unless otherwise expressly indicated and cannot, as such, be applied to individual cases. Nor may the information be deemed as an offer made by and binding on Aktia unless otherwise indicated. A juristic act involving Aktia or a Partner is valid only if the Service includes a specific function for performing such a juristic act in respect of the service involved. 1.5 The Service, related copyright and other intellectual rights are owned by Aktia or another supplier as specifically indicated; see Copyright. 1.6 Aktia may, at any time, make changes affecting the contents and accessibility of the Service, including the hardware and software required to use the Service. Aktia may also, at any time, revise the General Terms and Conditions for the Use of the Service. 1.7 Use of the Service may require inclusion of additional applications in the browser. The Service is optimised for Netscape 4.x and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x level browsers. Use of specific sections/programs/applications requires acceptance of the use of Java scripts and cookies. 2. USER'S RESPONSIBLITIES AND OBGLIGATIONS 2.1 The User is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the hardware, software and data connections required for the use of the Service, including other expenses incurred for the use of the Service. 2.2 The User is obligated to use the Service in accordance with law, generally accepted good practice and the terms and conditions specified in sub-section 1.3 hereof. The Service may not be used in a way that is pernicious, injurious or abusive in respect of Aktia, its Partner, other User or a third party. 2.3 The User shall be liable for any damage to Aktia, any Partner, other User or third party caused by the use of the Service in contravention of law, generally accepted good practice or the terms and conditions specified in sub-section 1.3. 3. LIMITATION OF AKTIA'S LIABILITY 3.1 Aktia is not responsible for any errors in the information contained in the Service or its reliability or other characteristics irrespective of whether the Service is provided by Aktia or its Partner. The texts, images, counters, sound files, animations and other files may contain technical errors or errors of fact. Aktia shall not be responsible for the fitness for any particular purpose of the information/files accessed through the Service. Aktia does not guarantee that the Service works error free and without interruptions. 3.2 Without prejudice to any of the foregoing, Aktia shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage or loss due to the incorrect contents, errors in communications or information systems or malicious programs (viruses, worms, etc.). Aktia shall not be liable for such damage or loss even if Aktia or its representative were aware of such an error. This provision shall apply irrespective of whether any claim for damages is based on contract, negligence or any other grounds. 3.3 Aktia specifically underlines that the sections dealing with investments (such as analyses, share prices) accessible through the Service contain information of a general nature and such information shall not be construed as investment advice, an offering to buy or sell securities or other encouragement to make a specific investment decision. Aktia or its Partner is not responsible for the fitness of the information/files, accessible through the Service, for the User's investment purposes, nor for the consequences of any investment decision based on the said information. These world wide web pages including copyright and other related intellectual property rights are owned by Aktia Savings Bank plc (hereinafter Aktia) or another supplier specifically indicated. Except for the purpose of private use, the User may not distribute, publish, copy, publicly display or otherwise make use of the information on the web site protected by copyright laws without the express written prior consent of Aktia or any other holder of such right.
